The Master's Program in "Biology of Exercise," operating at the Department of Physical Education and Sports Science of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), after 20 years of continuous academic and scientific activity (established in 1998), was re-established by decision of the University Senate, taking into consideration the positive recommendation of the NKUA Postgraduate Studies Committee and the proposal of the Departmental Assembly. Since then, it has been operating continuously based on the prevailing regulations, having conferred postgraduate degrees to over a hundred graduates of our program.
The aim of the MSc in "Exercise Biology" is to provide high-level postgraduate education in the scientific field of human physiological adaptations to exercise, aiming at improving, maintaining, and restoring human health and fitness, as well as maximizing human performance.
