ADMISSION PROCESS

The selection of students for the "Biology of Exercise" MSc program is conducted annually through an announcement/invitation for expression of interest in admission to the program. This announcement includes the specializations provided by the MSc program, the number of student admissions per specialization, the graduates eligible to participate in the examinations, the selection criteria, and the documents that must be submitted by the candidates.

According to the selection system outlined in the regulations of the MSc program in Biology of Exercise, a student is considered eligible if they:

  • Obtain a minimum grade not less than five (5) through a written examination in a subject relevant to the specialization they wish to pursue.
  • Provide evidence of English language proficiency at level C1, as specified by the relevant provisions regarding language proficiency certification.
  • Provide evidence of proficiency in handling computer programs as specified by the relevant provisions regarding the certification of knowledge of equivalent documentation.

With the fulfillment of the prerequisites mentioned above and in accordance with the criteria outlined below, candidates are sorted by specialization based on the scores they achieve. From this ranking, those who attain the highest scores are ultimately selected in accordance with the specified number of admissions per specialization, as indicated in the relevant announcement/invitation.

The criteria and their relative weights in the overall score for evaluating and selecting candidates to the MSc program are as follows:

  • Undergraduate degree grade (30%)
  • Performance in the entrance examinations of the MSc program (provided the candidate achieves a grade equal to or greater than five in the written examination) (25%)
  • Grade in undergraduate courses relevant to the subjects taught in the MSc program (10%)
  • Scientific publications, participation in conferences (10%)
  • Oral interview by a three-member committee appointed by the Coordinating Committee of the MSc in "Biology of Exercise" (10%)
  • Grade of the undergraduate or diploma thesis (if applicable) (5%)
  • Relevant research or professional activity (5%)
  • Possession of a second postgraduate or doctoral degree (5%)
